On Saturday, December 20th, “The Doberman” will get the big fight he has been awaiting, when he headlines against former world champion Lyoto Machida in Barueri, Brazil. Stepping back into the Octagon for the first time since his stirring five-round battle against middleweight champion Chris Weidman at UFC 175, Brazil’s Machida has won two previous middleweight bouts against Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi. In Dollaway, “The Dragon” will face a former The Ultimate Fighter finalist who has added impressive striking to his wrestling base to become a Top 10 middleweight contender.

Dos Santos vs. Miocic
The UFC’s first show in Phoenix on December 13th will be a memorable one. Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos makes his return against top contender Stipe Miocic. Brazil’s “Cigano” held the heavyweight crown from November 2011 to December 2012, and since then, he has gone 1-1. He knocked out Mark Hunt in May 2013, but lost his rubber match against Cain Velasquez last October. Miocic is currently on a three-fight winning streak, after decisioning Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga and taking just 35 seconds to halt Fabio Maldonado. History will be made on December 12th in Las Vegas. The UFC’s first strawweight champion will be crowned, plus featherweight contenders Jeremy Stephens and Charles Oliveira will square off. The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned stars the top women’s 115-pound fighters competing for a world championship. “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens has won three of his past four bouts, with the only loss coming in a Fight of the Night battle against Cub Swanson in June. The UFC travels to Austin, Texas on November 22nd, and fight fans in the Lone Star State will see two pivotal match-ups. The awaited rematch between UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and No. 1 contender Chad Mendes will headline UFC 179 in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, October 25th.
