History will be made on December 12th in Las Vegas. The UFC’s first strawweight champion will be crowned, plus featherweight contenders Jeremy Stephens and Charles Oliveira will square off. The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned stars the top women’s 115-pound fighters competing for a world championship. “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens has won three of his past four bouts, with the only loss coming in a Fight of the Night battle against Cub Swanson in June. Oliveira is on a two-fight hot streak, with his wins against Andy Ogle and Hatsu Hioki both earning him performance of the night awards. The UFC’s first show in Phoenix on December 13th will be a memorable one. Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos makes his return against top contender Stipe Miocic. Brazil’s “Cigano” held the heavyweight crown from November 2011 to December 2012, and since then, he has gone 1-1. He knocked out Mark Hunt in May 2013, but lost his rubber match against Cain Velasquez last October. Miocic is currently on a three-fight winning streak, after decisioning Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga and taking just 35 seconds to halt Fabio Maldonado.
