PRIDE Bushido 10 hosted a fun night of fights including two non-title bouts of the two newest titleholders in PRIDE welterweight champ Dan Henderson vs. Kazuo Misaki and PRIDE lightweight champ “The Fireball Kid” Takanori Gomi vs. Marcus Aurelio.

Marcus Aurelio vs. Takanori Gomi PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (12:33) In a non-title bout, PRIDE lightweight champion “The Fireball Kid” Takanori Gomi who was on a 10 fight undefeated streak in the PRIDE ring was set to scrap with highly-regarded BJJ blackbelt Marcus “Maximus” Aurelio who owned 8 of his 13 wins by sub.

Dan Henderson vs. Kazuo Misaki PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (24:07) In a non-title bout, the new PRIDE welterweight champion Dan Henderson with powerful striking & wrestling entered the ring in his first fight since winning the belt to take on the versatile Kazuo “The Hitman” Misaki with his 15-5-2 pro record.

Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Paulo Cesar Silva PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (8:07) Openweight legend Ikuhisa Minowa with his catch-wrestling submission skills and 31-23-8 MMA record readied to enter the ring against the monstrous 7’2” Paulo Cesar “Giant” Silva in his 7th and final PRIDE appearance.

Phil Baroni vs. Yuki Kondo PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (4:42) Both fighters were coming off decision losses in their last PRIDE appearances as heavy-handed “The New York Bad Ass” Phil Baroni with 6 of his 8 wins by KO/TKO took on Japanese MMA veteran Yuki Kondo and his vast experience with his 44-17-5 pro record.

Akihiro Gono vs. Dae Won Kim PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (12:00) After having his recent winning streak snapped in the Grand Prix’s semifinals, the fast & elusive striker Akihiro Gono with his 24-11-7 MMA record took to the PRIDE ring for the 5th time against South Korea’s Dae Won Kim who was on a 5 fight win streak.

Paulo Filho vs. Murilo Rua PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (21:51) Striking vs. submissions as Chute Boxe Academy’s Muay Thai striker Murilo “Ninja” Rua with his 11-5-1 pro record with 9 wins by finish faced Brazilian Top Team’s highly-dangerous BJJ blackbelt Paulo Filho with his perfect 10-0 MMA record.

Joachim Hansen vs. Luiz Azeredo PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (13:30) It’s always exciting when lightweights who can pack a punch collide! Norway’s Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen with his 13-3-1 pro record readied to trade fists & feet with Chute Boxe Academy’s Luiz Azeredo who owned 8 of his 10 wins via strikes.

Denis Kang vs. Mark Weir PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (8:09) Unbeaten in 18 straight fights including 2 wins in the PRIDE ring, submission threat & knockout artist Denis “The Super Korean” Kang readied to rumble with England’s Mark “The Wizard” Weir who owned a 17-9 pro record with all wins by stoppage.

Jens Pulver vs. Kenji Arai PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (10:46) Aiming to even up his PRIDE record, former UFC lightweight champion Jens “Lil’ Evil” Pulver would put his vaunted boxing skills to the test against the debuting Kenji Arai, who was a veteran of the Japanese MMA scene and coming off of back-to-back wins.

Yves Edwards vs. Seichi Ikemoto PRIDE: Bushido 10 Sun, Apr 2, 2006 (20:26) In his final PRIDE appearance, “Thugjitsu Master” Yves Edwards with his vast arsenal of attacks and his 30-10-1 MMA record took to the promotion’s ring for the last time against Japanese MMA veteran Seichi Ikemoto with his 29 fight experience.
